Vote 4
a New Library Board
James Carlos · Ron Hood · Janelle Allbritton, MPH
We have called a Special Session for Friday, May 5, 2023 at 3 PM.
Please join us for the latest developments at the library, either in-person or via ZOOM.
The Future of the Library
We met our deadline with the New York State Education Department on May 1, 2023, when we made good on our commitment to account for a financial records discrepancy of more than $269,000.
The discovery was made by James Carlos in January, but we announced it only after the full process of verification and discussion was complete.
Now, we can finally complete and close the library’s annual report for 2020. This is one step closer towards applying for registration, which means we will be able to access additional revenue streams.
Next Steps Include….
#1: VOTING TO KEEP US AFTER JUNE 30!
Finish forensic audit
Reconstruct books (currently in disarray due to improper posting of transactions) since 2016
File IRS forms for last six years
File annual reports for last three years
Request central branch status
Regain 501(c)3 status.
